Information is Power

Information is power.  Part of what we do is give our clients the power to make wise decisions.  Here are some of the places one might begin when attempting to solve legal problems.  If it looks like your issue is beyond the self-help realm, feel free to give us a call.  We are always happy to help.

Washington Courts
The Washington Courts website allows you to search case records, learn about jury duty and find self-help legal resources, among many other things.  This is a great place to start your research.

King County Recorder
Search for recorded documents here. This is a great site if you are trying to trace the ownership history of a particular piece of property in King County.  You will want to try the recorder’s office in another county if the property you are researching is not in King County.

County Assessor and Treasurer Websites
You can access websites for each county assessor or treasurer here. This site is great to find in-depth information regarding a specific parcel of real property.  Don’t miss the parcel viewer for each county!

University of Washington Law Library Resource Page
Peruse legal resources suggested by the Gallagher Law Library at the University of Washington School of Law.

Washington State Bar Association Law Links
The Washington State Bar Association has an extensive list of potential resources.

Kitsap County Recordings
If the property you are researching is in Kitsap County you can use this site to search for recorded documents or learn about this county’s recording requirements.

Need More?
The first site we suggested offers an extended list of additional resources to try out!
